We design all our classes based on students’ needs. Every class is a progressive course and based on limited pre-registration in order to keep our classes small and intimate. We offer hands on adjustment but it can be optional if you have any concern. Summer course registration is open now. Join us.

This session we will focus on

  • How to refine your practice.

  • How to do the hip opening right to protect the knees.

  • Core strengthening + Headstand 

  • Lower back stretching + Shoulder opener
    *Perfect for office workers who sit all day. It's a class that combines stretching, strengthening and one or two yin/ restorative poses to relax the mind and body. Our soothing sequence will help you end your day happily.

This session we will focus on

  • Deep twisting 

  • Arm balance with safety

  • Backbend 101- the Ashtanga way and its emotional benefits.

  • Deep hip opening

  • Headstand variation
    *This is the class to empower you to become the person you want to become. Through challenging poses, we constantly face our own fears. We will learn how to still the minds to overcome them and apply those techniques when we get off the mat.

Studio Policy

  • We do not provide refunds. However, classes require a minimum attendance to run. If we must cancel a class, you will be refunded or choose to use the credits for other classes.

  • No make up classes. But, we will run a complimentary community class/ sample class once a month, which is open to members and non-members. Feel free to use this class as your extra practice or your make-up class.

  • Community / sample class will be 75 mins. All levels will enjoy this class. Details and registration form will be announced on The Mat Yoga Vancouver Facebook 1-2 weeks ahead. Please download the form and send it back to us before the deadline.

  • Community classes also support people who may not have the funds to sign up for a full class. We want to help people get access to yoga. If you can’t make it to class, please make sure you cancel your registration within 48 hours so we can give your spot to someone who needs it.
